Personal Trainer Overview

Although I train women of all ages, I specialize in training women, baby boomers and the active aging.

I emphasis safety as one progresses toward their fitness goals. If you are unable to train on land because of physical limitations, I can train you in a swimming pool.

Training Philosophy

Yes, a little soreness is o.k. to know you've worked your muscle--but I don't believe in the concept of "no pain, no gain."

I help you to get fit safely. To help you enjoy your workouts and incorporate fitness as part of your healthy lifestyle.

Although I believe in a plant-based diet for optimal health (and prevent many what is so called age-related diseases), I do not try to influence my clients to give up their meat, dairy or egg consumption. Hopefully, I can be a role model to help them tweak their diet to help them feel better.


I studied with National Federation of Professional Trainers to get my personal trainer certification.

I am a certified water aerobics instructor with American Sports & Fitness Association.

I have a passion for health & fitness and enjoy ongoing learning, I attend several workshops each year to continue learning.

I've taken many workshops regarding working with baby boomers and seniors.

I continue to take workshops which focus on baby boomers and the active aging--workshops which focus on agility, mobility, balance, cognition, flexibility, as well as strength training.


I've been into health & fitness most of my life. I began working out at a gym when I was 19, and started working as a fitness instructor at a gym when I was 27.

I became certified as a personal trainer in 2010. Fitness is a passion of mine and I enjoy assisting people with getting or staying in shape.

I have been into nutrition and health since my mid twenties. I've been a vegetarian since 1981 and a vegan since 2004.

I am now 66 and feel better than I did in my 40s. I believe that you are only as old as you feel. I enjoy incorporating activities and exercise into my life to fight the effects of aging.
