Personal Trainer Overview

I believe that rehab - fitness/wellness and athletics/functionality are not the separate entities that our industry makes them out to be. When I perform an evaluation on a new client, I always detect movement pattern asymmetries due to previous injuries or bad movement habits. One can't can look better until one feels better and then one can't feel better till move better. The pendulum dictates one goals and the journey. Dietary prescription is a big part of the program as one can't out train a bad diet and every diet has to be specific to the person. No cookie cutter programs here. The comprehensive program includes the diet, cardio, strength training and corrective exercise regimen that is adjusted constantly based on the progress of the client.

Training Philosophy

Every program I write is completely client specific. Other trainers might claim the same mantra, but I believe that the comprehensiveness of the evaluation that I perform dictates just that. Between the functional movement screen, the initial dietary breakdown, the health history and the goal orientation all broken down into its most intricate parts to completely customize the program. Then, for example, the diet takes into account the foods you like, the goals are broken down into long term and short term, the health history takes into account exercise related medications, the movement screen filters out movement asymmetries and joint mobility / stability issues and much, much more.

Education

My fitness / wellness / clinical education is quite comprehensive as I have been in the industry for 30+ years. I have been a scrub nurse in trauma surgery, Phase 4 Exercise Physiologist in a Preventive Medicine Department, a Strength Coach in a High School setting and a Speed & Agility for several club sport teams, as well as Master Trainer for every goal from injury rehabilitation to body transformation to elite athletics.

My college education spans from undergraduate degrees in Health Education and Exercise Science to a graduate degree in Exercise Physiology. My certifications are list below and cover everything from wellness, fitness, flexibility, mobility / stability, movement and speed mechanics, athletic development, and nutrition prescription
