Personal Trainer Overview

I work as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. I have four years experience in the industry and I plan on sticking around long term. I have experience in one-on-one, small group, and team training. I am also very proficient in program design and implementation in both the exercise and nutritional sectors. I have designed programs for all ages and fitness levels, including the high school athlete to the eighty plus year old retiree.

Training Philosophy

I incorporate resistance, cardio, flexibility, balance, functional, speed, agility, and core training into the programs of all of my clients. I believe all clients, regardless of goal, must be proficient in all areas of training in order to achieve optimal results and performance. I learned to effectively design programs under Optimal Performance Training (OPT) and Alloy Personal Training Solutions. Both programs, as well as the movement patterns, sets, rep ranges, and tempo have been researched and proven to work. This is my main philosophy; to incorporate programs that are proven to be effective. I'm not one of those trainers who is going to give a client a workout one to two times a week and wish them luck on days they are not with me. I am going to create a program that is designed to be effective while incorporating a version of periodization into my programs. I am a results driven trainer and I look for each of my clients to achieve optimal results.

Education

I will graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Wellness and Fitness from California University of Pennsylvania in October, 2016.

Bio

I love to compete and I tend to incorporate variety into my competitions. I do men's physique shows but I have also competed in obstacle courses and even races. The variety keeps my fitness life interesting.

When I'm not in the gym training or working out, one can find me at my laptop, reading articles to hone my chosen craft. I'm also a writer and I love to write about topics that pertain to fitness but I also have a few other interests to write about as well.
