Mayhem Fitness & Cross Training (MXT) is the training facility in Richmond VA that men and women come to when results matter!

Specializing in Fat Loss and Sport Conditioning our members reach their goals in half the time of traditional workouts with High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) that includes strength training, cardiovascular training, speed / agility and balance drills, flexibility and nutritional guidance.

Each and everyday we are enriching peoples lives with healthier, stronger and leaner bodies, a Champion attitude and passion for living their best each and every day.

Our mission statement - To take the masses from ordinary to extraordinary, breaking their limiting beliefs and proving to themselves that deep inside, there is a Champion ready to break free.

We do this with the use of a Champions Mindset, Easy to follow sport nutrition and High Intensity Interval and Cross Training.

We believe that this is the formula for people to jump their fitness level to new heights, lose body fat and build solid muscle that happens quickly and lasts permanently.

At MXT we are dedicated to the several hundreds of clients we have the honor to serve. Whether it be as their personal trainer, mentor, coach or friend we cherish each one.

Bio

Sean "Mayhem" Murphy

Sean is a regular guy who had to overcome the odds and discovered a passion to help others with their health and fitness goals back in 2001. He is a father, a Christian and coach of fitness training in Richmond VA.

Sean is incredibly driven and wants to help as many people as he can through the use of proper education, great motivation, and consistent exercise. These, in turn, will aid in the practice of healthy lifestyle habits.

In 1998, Sean suffered a lower back injury which ended his military service. Due to the injury Sean became very sedentary and 60 pounds overweight.

“I had always been an active person so this was a whole new level of stress and discouragement for me. I knew I had to change something.”

To accomplish this, Sean began researching and implementing proper nutrition and exercise back into his daily life. The main focus was to lose the extra weight and strengthen his lower back, but what he really discovered was a new desire and passion for overall fitness and helping others do the same.

Sean achieved his goals, and to date is at a healthy weight and has no back problems.

“Today, at the age of 35, I have a fitness level that’s much better than twelve years ago. I have since helped others reach their own personal health and fitness goals with my expertise, not only from my education, but through my experience and personal achievements.”

“Every day is a new chapter in my life as I continue to live and model the lifestyle I coach. Its not always easy to eat right or find the motivation to exercise and its that understanding that has enabled me to better service my friends and members. TOGETHER we accomplish so much more!”

Sean Murphy has worked as a certified personal trainer for corporate gyms located in Virginia, owned a private personal training center for 6 years and now runs Mayhem Fitness & Cross Training (MXT) in Richmond VA.

“These classes really bring me back home to my previous military days but as one of my clients pointed out, I’m not really a Drill Sergeant, I am a Coach and it is what I do best.”
