Personal Trainer Overview

My focus is on body weight exercises which incorporate multiple muscle groups. Additionally I'm a certified Punk Rope/Jump Rope instructor, core specialist and boxing instructor. I also provide (at no additional cost to regularly scheduled clients, nutritional guidance and meal planning. My clients range in age from teens to those in their 80s. Because my background is so varied, I am able accommodate those who require specialized athletic training to those who are looking for guidance with functional fitness. Most of my clients are looking to change their body composition while some require specific training geared toward a endurance event they have scheduled. I love the challenge of working with such a broad spectrum of people, and continue to educate myself as how to best serve their needs. Your goals need to change as you progress, I stay one step ahead and will move you through those plateaus that are so often the cause of a breakdown in one's progress.

Training Philosophy

I believe consistent changes make for long term changes. Nutrition and recovery is key in any exercise program. I train teens through Senior citizens, modifying as needed. Exercises are changed based on the clients needs and progression, and if needed, scaled back when necessary. I encourage clients to give body weight and functional fitness training a chance. It will change the way you work out. Never boring, never the same. For those that wish to use standard weight room equipment, I am very skilled in this area and would be happy to set up a more traditional workout

Education

I am trained in barefoot running, body weight exercises, indoor cycling, jump rope, core, speed and agility, traditional weight lifting, boot camp, kettlebells and nutrition and recovery techniques. Extensive experience with medically fragile, as well as those with cognitive challenges, Autism, and behavioral issues.
