Personal Trainer Overview

I use a variety of training techniques from cable machines and dumbbells, to heavy ropes, tires and kettle bells. All training has a purpose which involves the clients goals. Cardiovascular training and core training are included always. The more "real life" I can make the training session the better.

I have trained clients from 7 years old to 73 years old, professional athletes to contestants on The Biggest Loser show. My clients have had every type of goal from athletic performance to extreme weight loss and everything in between. My methods change and adapt as my client's needs predict.

Training Philosophy

The client's goals are the most important to me. Whether it be weight loss, strength training or to even bend over and tie their shoes. Whatever the case be, the training I give will always be functional, vary in intensity, and effective. I have found that a combination of strength training, cardiovascular and core is most effective for most weight loss success. Functional, high intensity training works well for athletes as well as advanced weight loss clients.

Bio

I have been in the fitness industry for over 10 years. I have worked solely as a personal trainer for the last 6 years.

After graduating from college with a Physical Education degree I went to work as a police officer. During my time at the police department, I developed a fitness program for the officers and was instrumental in designing a fitness room in the department.

After 6 years as a full time officer I had the opportunity to work in a police academy and be the head of physical development for the cadets. I was able to design a task-specific program for police officers over the course of their 24-week long academy.

I left the academy after 4 years to pursue a career in personal training. After nearly 5 years of working in a corporate gym environment I have moved out on my own and offer in-home training as well as gym-based personal training.
